Well the big question is, are you religious? Belief in a creator would mean that your creation has a meaning behind it. If you do not believe in a creator then your purpose in life is what you make of it...your own choosing and not to be found or discovered.

Or, are you searching to find what you want to do in life vs. what you will leave behind when you are gone? Allot of people will do things in their lives based on what kind of mark they can leave on the world so that others remember them after they have lived.

I think that would be the first step...to figure out which "Bigger Picture" you think you are in.

Either way, you will never know your purpose. Your life will always be a mystery. When you die that is when your meaning is revealed and only your friends, family and dearest loved ones will know what you meant and who you are.

But that doesnt stop you from living for who you want to be. Ask yourself 'who am i?' and if the answer is 'i dont know' accept it and live as if tomorrow is a wonderful mystery, day after day... full of surprises and challenges.

I'd say everyone starts wondering just that, sooner or later. I think such answers are best found if you aren't looking. Searching for something means focussing, means narrowing your views, means you have a chance of missing the answers.
